Pear Tree Purton benefits from prime location AND easy access
This fabulous place certainly has a location on its side! Something that many couples might not realise is that this place is also extremely convenient to reach, thanks to its proximity to major roads and transport links.
Just a 10-minute drive from its location lies junction 16 of the M4 motorway, one of the UK's busiest routes. The M4 provides swift connections to both London and South West England, putting it within comfortable travelling distance for guests from all across the country. The motorway outlet can get you to the heart of London in under 2hrs, and about 1hr from Heathrow airport, making it a breeze for those flying into the country for your celebration.
Train travel is also very convenient, with Swindon Railway Station only a 15-minute drive away. This station sits on the main line with fast links to London Paddington, making The National Rail network easily accessible. Swindon is also serviced by vital coach routes.
The venue’s large car park ensures arriving guests have ample space on site. The tranquillity of the rural venue feels a world away, yet your busy wedding party needn't worry about navigating narrow country lanes or public transport schedules thanks to the ease of major arteries nearby.
The ease of accessibility makes it a top choice for couples from both near and far seeking a picturesque countryside escape for their special day.

Now, let me share a little story from one of the weddings I had the pleasure of photographing there. Picture this: a beautiful Autumn afternoon, the bride and groom were ready to capture some couple photos in the gardens. As we strolled towards a picturesque vineyard, a curious resident cat decided to join the session. This little friend took a particular liking to the groom's shiny shoes and began playfully pawing at them. The couple couldn't stop laughing, and we ended up with some of the most candid and delightful photos of the day. It was an unexpected moment that added a touch of humor and spontaneity to their wedding album, perfectly capturing the joy and unpredictability of the day.
Choosing The Pear Tree for your wedding not only provides a stunning backdrop but also sets the stage for creating your own memorable moments.

The venue has two getting-ready spaces for you both for your morning preparation. The bride usually gets ready in the beautiful "Cascade" room, equipped with all the luxuries you need to make everyone feel completely relaxed on your special day. I love the fact that this room benefits from incredible natural light and ample space for all the dresses and outfits. This room boasts a spacious area dedicated to hairstyling and makeup application, along with ample room for me to capture the joyful moments as you and your loved ones get ready. The getting-ready process is full of little moments between friends and family, making it such a memorable time. It's important to document the private interactions and small touches that hold special meaning for you.
I love to unobtrusively photograph the real interactions between your loved ones - all the fun and laughter - rather than staged shots. I aim to preserve the raw emotions and fleeting moments that represent this important time. From your mum helping you get in the dress, your maid of honour helping with your shoes or the first look with dad, these instinctive moments are worth freezing in time. I work towards providing a visually stunning yet emotionally rich gallery of your bridal preparations. I aim to deliver meaningful photographs that genuinely reflect the intimate experiences surrounding her special day.
The other half will be getting ready at “The Library”, with its elegant atmosphere, tall bookcases and a fireplace dating back to King Henry VI's reign in the 15th century. It just sets just the right tone as the other half gets ready to stun on the big day.
