I'm Carlos, a wedding photographer based in Wiltshire, UK, and a former microelectronics and semiconductor engineer. I spent years working in the tech industry, a field as technical as it sounds. But it wasn’t until I picked up a camera and started photographing weddings that I realised what I’d been missing. Over the past decade, I've had the pleasure of capturing over 350 weddings across the UK.
Photography started as a creative outlet, a playground to experiment and explore and yes, get hooked on an expensive hobby, ha! But after my daughters were born I realised it was about something deeper, preserving the moments that matter. That's why I give everything I have to every couple on their day. I know that in a few years' time, those photos will be the thing they treasure most.
It's been an incredible journey, and I truly love what I do and genuinely believe that I have the best job in the world!
When I’m not Photographing weddings...
When I'm not out capturing a wedding, you'll usually find me on a mini-adventure in the countryside with my wife Lais and our two daughters. I'm a real melting pot of cultures, born in Angola, shaped by the vibrant energy of Cuba (my mum's homeland), and later Portugal, where I earned two masters degrees in microelectronics engineering. A job opportunity eventually brought me to the UK, which I've proudly called home ever since.
I'm also a travel junkie with a soft spot for beach escapes. Mauritius and Cyprus are my top picks. When I'm unwinding you'll find me enjoying a nice can of coca-cola, rewatching movie classics and anime, or curating a playlist mixing today's hits with Angolan tunes, Afrobeats and Latin house. My favourite artist is Craig David and I know Rendezvous backwards, ha! Oh, and I can wiggle my ears one at a time, not a superpower exactly, but it never fails to get a laugh on your wedding day.

My background as an engineer means I'm good with planning and timelines, so nothing gets missed. My experience across 350+ weddings means I've seen almost everything and nothing rattles me. I understand how every vendor plays their part and I work in sync with them so your day runs smoothly without you ever having to think about it.
